Yellow Weather Warning. The odd shower at first with gales and rain later. Showers tomorrow.


Today

After this mornings early brightness we are seeing more cloud and with this cloud we are likely to see a few showers move through. As we move into the afternoon a few brighter spells may develop again at first but as the afternoon goes on the cloud will thicken ahead of the rain and wind this evening. Temperature 12'c to 13'c

Wind S 24mph gusting to 35mph but slowly increasing to 28mph gusting to 45mph by the end of the day

Rainfall 0.5-1.5mm

Tonight

The first half of the night will see wind and rain arriving, some of the rain will be heavy with some very strong wind gusts (please see warning). The second hal;f of the night will see the rain being replaced by showers which are likely to be heavy at times with the risk of hail and thunder as we move towards dawn. Temperature 12'c to 13'c

Wind S or SSE 46mph gusting to 55/60mph inland and 70mph on the coast with one or two spots potentially seeing even higher gusts

Rainfall 12-18mm with a few places seeing up to 25mm

Tomorrow

A showery day with occasional bright or sunny spells but also some heavy blustery showers moving through with the risk of hail and thunder. Temperature 12'c to 13'c

Wind SSW 24mph gusting to 32mph although some of the heavier showers could see gusts of around 50mph temporarily

Rainfall locally variable 1-5mm
